To undertake Countryside Ranger duties relating to the management of East Lothian coastal and inland sites and to assist in countryside access management.
East Lothian Countryside Ranger Service is a long established service operating within a council fully committed to supporting their remit of protecting the environment and enhancing the outdoor experience for local communities and visitors. The countryside team includes access, biodiversity and countryside officers responsible for the most intense coast in Scotland and a suite of council owned and iconic inland sites.
Hourly rate of pay: £16.91-£18.93
To start asap.
Days and Hours of Work: Working Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend working required
Starting and finishing times are flexible, days are negotiable, and flexi time is applicable

Degree/Diploma in Ecology or other related disciplines and or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through an approved Countryside Ranger training programme or other relevant experience.
As the duties of this role require you to effectively travel to successfully undertake the full remit of the role, you must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle.*
