Contract: Permanent Full Time

This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in protecting and enhancing Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s exceptional nature reserves. You will join a dynamic team within a charity committed to creating living landscapes across Wiltshire, with over 40 nature reserves and 20,000 members. WWT delivers high-profile, nationally important work, from nature recovery projects to adult wellbeing and youth education.

You will lead the team responsible for our nature reserve management plans and delivering ecological surveying and conservation projects. You will monitor the impacts of our management and farming operations, advising on changes to work programmes or grazing regimes. This role will take the lead on the administration of our agri-environment agreements and work closely with other staff to engage with emerging policy and develop opportunities to deliver nature’s recovery across Wiltshire.

This role offers the opportunity to look outwards, working closely with our neighbours and colleagues in other organisations to deliver nature’s recovery on a landscape scale.

If you are enthusiastic about using your knowledge and experience to ensure our nature reserves remain outstanding areas for biodiversity we would like to hear from you. We are looking for a candidate who is organised and motivated and an excellent communicator. You will need to have the ability and confidence to work independently using your own initiative but also work effectively as part of a larger team and support the Head of Conservation.

We are committed to developing an inclusive and diverse organisation, in which everyone feels supported, valued, and able to be their full selves. • Pension up to 7.5% non-contributory
  • Group risk insurance – death in service and income protection

  • Staff discount at WWT cafes
  • Head office in town centre with parking
