Borders Forest Trust (BFT) is a leading Scottish conservation charity working to restore native woodland and associated natural habitats for the benefit of people and wildlife. The post holder will join a small, enthusiastic and dynamic team directly contributing to restoring native woodlands and reviving woodland culture in some of Scotland’s most beautiful ‘wilderness.’
The Wild Heart Site Manager will ensure the high-quality delivery of land management activities across BFT’s four Wild Heart sites in the Southern Uplands near Moffat and will also manage two Wild Heart Site Officers and the Wild Heart Project Officer.
This role will predominantly involve outdoor work across the Wild Heart Sites which covers over 3300ha of land in the Southern Uplands. It requires a candidate with a mix of skills including excellent communication; exceptional organisational ability; an aptitude for ‘hands on’ outdoor conservation and land management; enthusiasm; creativity and a passion for working with people.
The salary is £28-32K per annum depending on experience.
