Senior Ecologist (£37,261-£39,493) – full time (37 hrs/wk) two year fixed term

Context
Our Ecology, Historic Environment & Landscape (EHEL) team is looking to employ a new Senior Ecologist to bolster its Planning, Projects, Records and Natural Capital teams. You will be joining a dedicated and experienced team of 16 ecology, 5 historic environment and 3 landscape officers.
Senior Ecologist role:
We are looking for a Senior Ecologist to primarily work in the Planning Team to review and comment on planning applications. Candidates who have a sound understanding and experience of spatial planning will be looked upon favourably for this role. It would also be advantageous if you have a good understanding of Natural Capital and Warwickshire’s expanding Natural Capital markets, both mandatory (i.e. Biodiversity Net Gain, District Level Licencing, Carbon) and voluntary (i.e. Nutrient Balancing, Social Prescribing) markets.
Currently, this post is contracted for two years fixed term, but we hope to be able to extend the term of the post.
