Location: Haweswater
Salary: £21,255.00 - £22,818.00 Pro Rata
Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 26 days' Annual Leave

This is a Fixed-Term, Part-Time role for 22.5 hours per week for a period of 18 months.

What's the role about?

The nursery at Naddle Farm is a vital part of the Haweswater operation, producing a wide range of native species that have been grown from seeds and cuttings sourced from the local area.

Supporting the Tree Nursery Officer, and working alongside other site staff and volunteers, the Tree Nursery Assistant will involve giving the nursery’s plants the best possible start in life, weeding, watering, potting up and processing them in readiness for planting back out in the wider landscape. The role will also help with seed collection and planting out, and with occasional other estate management tasks.

  • Ability to respond positively to colleagues needs and feedback.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and to work well as part of a team.
  • Interest in nature conservation.
  • Able to solve problems and to work on own initiative.

We are looking to conduct interviews for this position on 19th June 2023.
