We are looking for an experienced individual to undertake the role of Definitive Map Officer within the Public Rights of Way team. Based in Municipal Buildings, Crewe, with flexible hybrid working, you will be responsible for processing Definitive Map Modification Order applications across the Borough, from receipt of application, through research, Committee decision, to Order making and public inquiry, as required.
The role requires a mix of desk based work and independent fieldwork. You’ll be liaising with elected Members, consultants, applicants, witnesses, landowners and agents. You’ll have responsibility for budgetary tasks and updating the Definitive Map and Statement and also undertake other legal Public Rights of Way processes such as temporary closures, public path orders and respond to general enquiries from the public and colleagues.
We have two opportunities to join our Public Rights of Way team: a full time Definitive Map Officer and a part time Public Path Orders Officer. If you would like to have a brief informal chat about either role, please contact Genni Butler, Acting Public Rights of Way Manager, via genni.butler@cheshireeast.gov.uk.
For any enquiries please email sourcingteam@ecwip.co.uk.
Please quote job reference number in all correspondence.
