Team Member with our Peatland restoration and countryside management team.
Hours: 37.5hrs/week + overtime
Pay: £25,000 - £30,000 Pro rata
Based in the South West across Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin.
The Role:
On a daily basis, assisting to carry out Peatland restoration works on varying sites around the South West.
Various works including Digger driving, building timber ditch blocks, fencing, tree planting, moss planting.
Working as part of a team.
Complying with Health and Safety and environmental legislation.
Sites are in remote rural location, own transport to get to depot is essential.
Expected to stay away depending on location, accommodation provided. Some weekend working required.
Essential requirements:
A good attitude to completing works to the highest standard.
Good communication skills.
Prepared to work outside on very remote moorland sites in all weather.
Map reading / GIS mapping.
Driving licence.
Additional interests an advantage:
Interest in conservation, wildlife and the environment.
Awareness of farming and agriculture.
Full training provided including Digger ticket, CSCS Card, First Aid, chainsaw, Health and Safety awareness and ATV.
