We have a number of vacancies for 12th June start to join our regional survey teams. Work is expected to be until the end of November initially. We then expect to resume our winter survey from January for a further 3 months. We work Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm.
We survey trees and woodlands from the ground with binoculars to locate OPM nests on behalf of the Forestry Commission, enabling the pest to be controlled and the trees and woodlands conserved.
This is a good entry level position, starting from £120 a day with a mileage scheme, and offering valuable work experience for those looking to pursue ecological or forestry careers, and will also appeal to experienced ecologists available for seasonal work.
You will need to be physically fit, enjoy team work and be punctual and methodical in your approach to work. You should provide own binoculars, gps and smart phone and have a vehicle for work.
