Rangers play an important role at the National Trust and are pivotal in helping look after our special places, for everyone, forever. You'll be part of our Ranger team on the Roseland at an exciting time, driving forward both great conservation and an outstanding experience for visitors in our outdoor spaces.

The Mid & South East Cornwall portfolio contains some of the finest unspoilt coastal landscapes in the UK. It is also one of the most diverse. Imposing headlands with famous names, scattered along both the north and south coast, provide a stunning backdrop to broad beaches loved by generations of holiday makers, creeks and valleys with intimate walks and hidden coves, wild expanses of heath peppered with the remains of tin mining activities, and magnificent open estuaries dotted with sailing vessels and the remnants of Britain’s maritime and military past.

Reporting directly to the Lead Ranger you will play a key role in delivering much of our core access and conservation work on the Roseland. You'll also be responsibility for delivering some of the exciting projects identified in our Property Business Plan.

You'll work with our small team of Rangers and volunteers, to look after our coastal properties between the Fal estuary and St.Austell Bay, on the south coast of Cornwall. This mainly coastal property extends to around 1000ha, with nearly 40km of coastline and around 75km of footpaths. This is an exceptional coastal landscape with wide sandy beaches and small secluded coves, rolling cliffs and wild dramatic headlands which adjoin mixed arable, beef and sheep farms. Inland mixed broadleaf woodland fringes the creeks of the Percuil River.
