Fylde Council is on the lookout for a dynamic, hands-on Operations Supervisor to support the care and enhancement of our stunning parks, vibrant open spaces, and breath-taking coastline. This is your chance to make a real impact in one of the North West’s most picturesque areas, ensuring our green and coastal environments remain safe, welcoming, and beautifully maintained.
In this people-first role, you’ll take charge of daily operations and inspire dedicated teams delivering top-tier horticultural, grounds, and coastal maintenance. Your ability to motivate and support staff will be key to delivering outstanding services. You’ll also support the delivery of several external grounds maintenance contracts across the Fylde Coast - building strong client relationships and driving excellence every step of the way.
We’re looking for a confident communicator and natural problem-solver - someone who thrives in a busy environment, stays organised, and enjoys working with people. From coordinating operational work programmes and managing resources to supporting budgets, procurement, and responding to customer enquiries, you’ll be at the heart of projects linked to the national Green Flag Award, North West in Bloom, and major public events.
You’ll bring operational experience in horticulture, green space management, and grounds maintenance, backed by technical know-how and the confidence to engage with the public and stakeholders. Digital skills are a must, and you’ll need a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for site visits.
