The Barn Owl Trust CIO is looking for a Head of Conservation to lead and shape our future work protecting and conserving the UK Barn Owl population and the environment.
We seek an experienced leader with energy and vision and a great track record in nature conservation. The successful candidate will possess excellent management and leadership skills, have a sound knowledge of UK wildlife and conservation challenges. The role requires experience of working with partners, landowners and stakeholders, and the ability to adapt to new opportunities and approaches, as well as some research background. You must love working with, and managing, a team of dedicated conservationists and be willing to listen, learn, guide and motivate. You will promote the use of evidence-based conservation practices, sound budget management, partnership working, and community engagement with passion and drive.
You will be an ambassador for the work of the Trust, and will cultivate stability, ideas, and imagination in the way we support the Barn Owl population into the future.
