Do you think a career in horticultural engineering could be for you? Are you interested in machinery and engines and want to learn more? We are delighted to be able to offer an engineering apprenticeship opportunity at RHS Garden Bridgewater.
Our apprenticeship scheme is aimed primarily at 16 to 19 year olds but is open to all, including career changers. The scheme will help you develop the knowledge and skills to service, maintain and repair a wide range of horticultural, agricultural and forestry machinery. This opportunity is open to everyone no matter how little experience you have.
The position will be offered on a three year contract. As an RHS apprentice, you will work alongside our mechanic team leader supporting the horticultural team whilst studying at college for the Level 3 Land-based Service Engineer Technician Apprenticeship. You will gain practical experience in using a wide range of horticultural machinery helping to create the RHS’s fifth garden at Bridgewater.
This is a combined programme of academic and work-based training, which means that you would have responsibilities as a college apprentice and RHS employee.
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) is committed to being an inclusive employer and welcomes applicants from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
