Part-time Engagement Officer

The East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership and the Bat Conservation Trust are seeking a self-employed Engagement Officer to help deliver an exciting Green Recovery Challenge Fund project for Grey Long-eared bats.

The project is based in East Devon, home of 2 grey long-eared maternity roosts and the area is a vital link between roosts in the south of England and those of the South West.

As well as having a good knowledge of wildlife, applicants should be able to demonstrate considerable experience of engaging with a variety of audiences to stimulate their interest and improve knowledge of wildlife and landscape. The project consists of a small team comprising a Project Officer delivering land management advice and this opportunity. This contract will represent 78 days work spread over the year long contract and will require delivery in a flexible manner requiring some weekend and evening work.
