We are looking for a new Ecologist for the development phase of an exciting project.

Location: West Sedgemoor
Salary: £30,940.00 - £33,215.00 Per Annum
Contract: Fixed-term until 31st March 2026.
Benefits: Pension, Life Assurance, 26 days annual leave

About the Role

You’ll work closely with land manager partners, the project team and a range of consultants to design and test new opportunities for land use change for nature recovery.

You’ll be part of our mission to inspire and empower people to help create a fully sustainable world where nature and all people thrive.

What we need from you

  • Extensive scientific knowledge of ecology and habitat management, natural history and ecological processes.
  • Ability to undertake habitat and species surveys.
  • Ability to work in a partnership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to change their land management practices.
  • Ability to contribute to building collaborative, motivated, resilient, inclusive teams.
  • Commitment to RSPB’s Values and equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Relevant degree, e.g. BSc or UK equivalent
