Shrill Carder Bee Species Recovery Manager (Maternity Cover)
Salary £27,865 (pro rata) per annum
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for an experienced/enthusiastic/dynamic/self-motivated part-time (0.9FTE) Shrill Carder Bee Species Recovery Manager to deliver the Shrill Carder Bee Conservation Strategy. This strategy was published by BBCT and partners in 2020 as a result of the Back from the Brink project
Your primary role will be to work with the Shrill carder bee species recovery manager (job-share) and Senior Conservation Officer to coordinate the Strategy Steering Group and work with partners in the group to ensure the strategy is fully implemented across England and Wales.
This position is a job-share with one other existing staff member. Between you, you will co-ordinate the Shrill Carder Conservation Strategy Steering Group and work with our partners to ensure the strategy is fully implemented across England and Wales.
You will be an experienced conservation professional with a sound understanding of landscape scale species conservation. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience of project, people and budget management, project development, writing funding bids and managing a large partnership. An understanding of the ecology and conservation of the shrill carder bee is highly desirable.

This is a part-time fixed term position until December 2023, home-based with frequent travel to Shrill carder bee sites in Kent, Essex, Somerset and South Wales.
