Reserve Warden - Stiperstones NNR

Salary: £21,200

Location: The Stiperstones and Downton Gorge National Nature Reserves (West Midlands Team)

The West Midlands team are looking for a motivated Reserve Warden to join their team working on the Stiperstones and Downton Gorge National Nature Reserves Based in South Shropshire the role will assist with the delivery of a wide variety of conservation and estate management duties across these two sites. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering a variety of practical skills across a range of habitats, working on their own and as part of a small team and alongside volunteers.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain a large amount of experience implementing the conservation management plans and estate work across a range of habitats on these two sites. The Stiperstones NNR is managed by Natural England and is an upland heathland site with important acid grassland, upland oak woodland, mires and hay meadows. The site is important for its upland birds, invertebrates and flora. Downton Gorge is a riverine valley woodland in Herefordshire which is important for its woodland plants, invertebrates and birds.
