Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Ecology and Planning Adviser

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Conservation team working to inform, inspire and enable others to play their part in restoring the abundance of nature in Suffolk.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust has consistently led the way in protecting and restoring Suffolk’s wildlife and although we have made great strides to safeguard the wildlife of this wonderful county, there is much still to do.

We know that to have a wilder Suffolk we need to work with others to inspire everyone to do what they can for nature.

You will divide your time between the Planning & Advocacy team and our Wilder Ecology consultancy – making for a varied, challenging , and exciting role. Three days a week you will be engaging with local and national planning issues to secure the best outcomes for nature. For the other two days, you will be assisting with ecological surveys across a range of habitats, as well as mapping and report writing.

We are looking for someone with energy, passion for nature, and a positive outlook who can inspire others to play their part in protecting our very best wildlife sites, safeguard our rarest species and make planning and development better for wildlife and help restore nature.
