We have an exciting opportunity for two people to join our vibrant PLACEmaking Team working on major tree planting projects and community forestry schemes across the Great Western Community Forest (GWCF). Apply
We are seeking two enthusiastic and experienced Project Officers to join the team and support the GWCF Lead Officer. The work involves liaising with landowners, land managers, local communities and partner organisations to promote and achieve the aims of the GWCF.
We are looking for skilled and highly motivated individuals to help us develop programmes and deliver ambitious projects on the ground and it would be desirable to have forestry expertise in one of the posts. The roles provide a great opportunity for people with a ‘can do’ attitude to be part of a strong, dynamic team, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Council, as well as with partner organisations and landowners to realise the full potential of the GWCF.
If you are a team player looking to gain valuable experience and accelerate your career within a supportive and friendly working environment with a range of specialists, this could be the opportunity for you.
An ability to travel throughout the Great Western Community Forest area to undertake site visits is essential and candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act - for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
We feel a work life balance is important for our team members. As such, Swindon operates flexible working and you will have the opportunity to work from home. The working hours and pattern for this role may be negotiable for the right candidate.
