Up to £33,350 per annum
Sitting within the commercial operations team, the Park Development Manager is responsible for the operational management of the country park, ensuring a safe, clean and accessible for park visitors. You will support with new events and business cases aimed at driving up footfall and revenue, whilst developing new and innovative operational approaches to the management of the park to broaden and increase the visitor base.
You will be responsible for leading, managing and motivating all site staff, overseeing all activities on the park, and ensuring a high-quality visitor experience, with excellent customer service. You will set clear objectives for habitat management, landscape, historic, recreational and amenity value, to ensure rangers are able to carry out their role effectively and efficiently.
You will be responsible for robust financial management of the park budget, ensuring all cash collected is secured safely, supported by detailed records for audit purposes. This will also include providing briefings and regular updates regarding the status of the park to inform key business decisions, with the Operations Manager.
Ideally educated in countryside management or country park management, you will have knowledge and experience of ecological/habitat management with a strong understanding of the ‘Country Park’ ethos and commitment to promoting enjoyment of the countryside. You should have experience of income generation in a country park or leisure industry setting.
Ultimately, you will be understanding and committed to team working with experience of developing a committed and motivated team, highlighting your excellent communication skills, with your supporting evidence of engaging with the public at all ages and abilities, with strong customer service skills
