We are looking for a Project Officer who will support the development and delivery of the South Forest District Operations and Business Resilience Programme. This programme comprises of the Land Management Business Improvement Project and Recreation Operations Improvement Projects, which aim to increase the resilience and improve the sustainability across both functions in the South Forest District.

You will lead on key work areas within the scoping, planning and delivery of these projects. This will include the development of improved systems and processes with particular emphasis on efficiency and technology to streamline activity and build resilience within teams. This role will provide insight into the issues and opportunities which exist in the way we deliver our objectives, with a particular focus on health and safety.

This Project Officer will also provide support to existing Land Management and Recreation delivery teams ensuring that we are in line with industry standards, Forestry England best practise and are compliant with legal, contractual and health and safety obligations. This could include contract management support, district Vehicle Machinery and Equipment, management, emergency and contingency planning, health and safety systems and recruitment support to the wider district teams.
