Groundwork East has over 35 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future. As our activities develop and our area of activity expands we are recruiting for a Project Officer (Landscape, Horticulture Training & Skills).

We are looking for an experienced landscaping or horticultural individual. Our projects focus on working with volunteers on landscape improvement training projects and we are looking for someone who is keen to transfer their knowledge to others. You will train and supervise learners and work to encourage them to overcome barriers and develop confidence and belief in the benefits of a working life.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing small scale practical landscaping work on site including planting, paving, fencing etc. You will also support the teaching and assessment of Level 1 City & Guilds qualifications for which training can be offered. It requires an enthusiastic individual able to motivate others and pass on skills by training a wide range of volunteers in basic landscape skills.
