Role Information

We are looking to appoint a Gamekeeping and Working Dog Advisor with excellent knowledge, passion and understanding of game shooting, gamekeeping, working dogs and wildlife management to support our busy Game and Wildlife Management department. The location for this position is flexible but will require travel throughout the UK.

The overarching purpose of the role is to provide an informed and specialist point of contact for public bodies, relevant stakeholders, BASC staff, members, the wider shooting and rural communities in relation to game shooting, gamekeeping, working dogs, and associated areas of wildlife management.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience, knowledge, and expertise in game shooting, gamekeeping, working dogs and wildlife management.
  • Experience of working with partners and/or volunteers and maintaining good communication and motivation
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • A good understanding and practical use of IT, particularly Microsoft Office.
