Expeditions and Youth Awards Support Worker

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with/help young people who face barriers to participation and may need extra support to achieve their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and other positive outcomes. The role supports individuals, schools and youth organisations to plan, train and enjoy expeditions, and complete Award Sections.

This is a full time post for 12 months, with a salary of £26,500.

Main responsibilities:

  • Enrol and support 120 participants, including 1:1 support, group activity, DofE accounts maintenance.
  • Co-deliver a programme of Expeditions including recruitment and management of participants with a range of individual support needs), training/guidance/mentoring/leadership as required, volunteer co-ordination, and use of the eDofE system to record progress.
  • Maintain links with youth and community groups to provide a programme of sectional activities to meet identified needs and interests.
