The Kilchoan Estate is a cultural and educational enterprise in rewilding, preservation & sustainability. We are restoring habitats, creating gardens and caring for historic breed livestock. We are looking for enthusiastic applicants to join our team and assist with the development of the estate, gardens and grounds.

Covering 1500 acres, the estate runs 4km along the coastline of Loch Melfort and climbs steeply to 270masl. There are a range of distinct habitats including historic grazing, peatlands, semi-natural ancient woodland, new native woodland creation schemes, exotic forestry plantations, gardens and policy woodland, all accessed by 14km of paths and tracks.

The role will be varied, encompassing a range of tasks in varied habitats. The ideal candidate must be capable working as part of a team and as alone, using their own initiative and expertise to complete tasks to a high standard. Duties will include (but not limited too) grass cutting, planting, fencing, path creation, wildlife monitoring, habitat & forestry management, assisting with both marine and terrestrial restoration projects.

Experience preferred, chainsaw, spraying and driver's license desirable. Training, both formal and informal offered. Ongoing personal, professional development supported. There is opportunity for visiting and collaborating with outside organisations across many projects

Competitive salaries offered. Starting wage between £21,000- £24,500
