Salary £32,000 - £35,000

About Us
The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. We own and care for over 1,000 woodland sites across the United Kingdom and support the creation and management of woodland on others’ land.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering training and maintaining delivery standards, and working as part of a team that will manage and develop of a programme of work within the context of the newly formed Riverscapes Partnership. As part of this role you will lead the development of a coordinated training package which utilizes current offerings from the 4 Trusts across the pathfinder areas.

By building effective relationships with a wide range of internal and external professionals, and specifically with the Riverscapes partners, you’ll ensure the partnership grows from strength to strength and enable delivery that is in alignment with the Woodland Trusts Conservation Principles.

The Candidate
You’ll have experience in delivery of technical training, ideally in woodland creation in riparian areas and catchments and more broadly in riparian habitats and catchment management and restoration.

With strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across different teams and with different stakeholders, you’ll be analytical and ideally have knowledge and experience of existing grant mechanisms for the establishment of trees and woodlands.

What you can expect
There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to protect and enhance woods and trees. In return we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
