  • Prepare test boxes and perform purity, moisture, seed count, viability and germination tests in line with company procedures.
  • Take seed samples from seed that is stored in our cold stores or stratification boxes.
  • Complete and maintain relevant documentation and records, both paper and electronic.

At the request of other member of the team you will provide a supporting role within the office. This will involves tasks such as:

  • Notifying authorities about seed collections and completing the paperwork required to ensure we comply with relevant legislation
  • Booking suitable accommodation for our seed collectors when they are working away from the unit

Ideally you will have a good knowledge of seed biology and an interest in how plants grow. Previous experience working in an office environment is also an advantage. However, you will be trained and supported by existing staff to ensure you gain all the skills and knowledge required.
