Salary: £32,066 - £38,601 (Band D)
Location: Grantown on Spey; Hybrid working of a mix of both office and home working will be considered
Job Type: 1.5 Year Fixed Term Contract; the contract is 1.5 years to cover the development phase of the project. Successful development of this phase could lead to the delivery phase and possible contract extension
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, though part time hours of 30 hours per week, or two job shares equating to 37.5 hours/week may be considered

We now have an exciting opportunity for two Sustainable Transport Officers to join the CNPA, provide coordination and support for the development and implementation of the Place and People and theme projects focusing on Active Travel, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and CNPA.
With the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and national lottery players, the Sustainable Transport Officer is part of a team that the Cairngorms National Park Authority is recruiting to lead innovative, collaborative, and transformative change as we tackle the climate emergency and nature crisis and deliver an economy that works for all. The People and Nature Thriving Together Programme is in an NLHF development phase which will culminate in the production of a full application to the NLHF.

As the Sustainable Transport Officer you will work with key project partners, community groups and residents to develop a variety of theme projects focussing on Active Travel.
You will also contribute to the development of the project plans for the delivery phase of Stage 2 of the NLHF application.

To be considered as our Sustainable Transport Officer, you’ll need:
An understanding of the purpose and aims of the Cairngorms National Park, familiarity with active travel development in a remote rural area, experience of community engagement and consultation in a remote rural area, Experience of successfully managing conflict resolution involving communities & land (& road) managers and knowledge of Gaelic would be beneficial to your application.
