We are looking for a Ranger to join our team at Wimpole, who will be able to deliver practical conservation work to protect and enhance the conservation status of Wimpole.
In this role, you’ll work some weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
The 2,500 acre estate includes tenanted farms and cottages in addition to the in-hand arable land, grazed historic park and SSSI/SAC woodland. As one of the National Trust’s flagship properties in the East of England, we have big plans to deliver bigger, better and more joined up nature conservation and to share this work with more people than ever.
You will be working with a small team of rangers across the estate to help us achieve our conservation goals delivered through the Green Recovery Challenge Fund. We will be planting trees, erecting fences, digging ponds, installing benches and waymarking as well as supporting a range of community events. You will have demonstrable knowledge of nature, heritage and the outdoors.
Nature and the outdoors has never been as important to our lives as it is now. If you want to make a real difference to nature and the lives of thousands of people, have the skills and experience we need and can work as a team then we hope to hear from you soon.
