Forestry England is the largest land manager and custodian of the nation’s public forests. We have around 1,000 committed staff looking after more land and more trees than any other organisation. It’s a job that never stops growing.
Alice Holt Forest is the 5th most visited free attraction in the Southeast of England. We receive over 450,000 visitors each year who are attracted by our fantastic range of facilities including our new Visitor Centre, Activity Centre, play equipment, cycle and walking trails, our brand-new café, Go-Ape!, self-led education visits, events and much more. We have a team of 13 that delivers adventurous, customer-focused activities and services through our business partners, volunteers, and stakeholders; and through play, cycling, site entry, facility maintenance and learning. Our team takes pride in finding new and sustainable ways for visitors to enjoy our forest and to further increase our appeal and offering.
This is an exciting time to join the South Forest District as we look to secure and grow our economic, social, and natural capital of our forests. In return, we offer an attractive salary and benefits package including a generous government pension scheme and flexible working. We also provide excellent personal and career development opportunities.
