Salary: £30,000 pa
You’ll be working on a Peatland restoration programme in the Upper Conwy catchment to ensure that our land is sustainably run and provides high quality conservation. The project will also apply good practice in how we work within the Trust and with partners, landowners and communities, working in a co- ordinated way, delivering long-term benefits in the project area and downstream Working with colleagues, external partners and collaborators, as well as the local community you'll represent the Trust by being an advocate for Peatland management. Occasionally situations may arise that require the post holder to perform such other duties or tasks as the Trust may reasonably require.
Whilst the ability to speak Welsh is beneficial, it is not essential for the post.

The Uwch Conwy Catchment covers an area that is 3% of the area of Wales includes Ysbyty Estate; the National Trust's largest estate covering over 8,000 hectares of open, wild moorland and moorland, dramatic valleys and 52 hill farms. Y Migneint, the large area of heath and blanket bog on the southern side of the estate, is all designated as a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) for its plant communities and bird life. To the west lies NT's Carneddau & Glyderau estate, with its eastern fringes forming part of the Upper Conwy catchment.
What you'll be doing
You’ll lead, support and assist our property teams in delivering peatland and wider nature restoration at one of our key Nature Accelerator portfolios, representing National Trust Cymru both internally and externally. Delivering programmes of work alongside staff and volunteers, as well as reporting both within our project management framework and sharing our findings with others embarking on similar works.
