GIS, Research and Monitoring Officer

c£25,000 pa dependent on experience and hours worked (minimum 24 hrs per week)

We are looking to recruit a GIS, Research and Monitoring Officer to provide technical expertise to facilitate the Trust’s research and monitoring programme.

This role provides the critical underlying support to many of the Trust’s data collection and monitoring systems. You must have previous experience of working with GIS and data, matched with an ability for science communication to both academic and non-academic audiences, and the ability to work with a wide range of people.

Our hybrid working policy aims to provide a good work/life balance which can incorporate partial home working whilst having an interesting and challenging working environment. Our office bases are in Pirbright, Pond Farm (Wisley) and Nower Wood (Letherhead); travel across Surrey will be a necessary part of the role, visiting sites, universities and attending events. A full driving licence is highly desirable as many locations cannot easily be accessed by public transport.

If you believe you have the experience for the role and are able to fulfil the criteria outlined in the job profile, please complete an application form, or provide a covering letter and CV, and send it to by 5pm on Monday 8th August 2022. Interviews will be held w/c August 15th. The job profile and application form are available on our website.

We are committed to having an inclusive and diverse workplace and encourage applications from backgrounds which may be underrepresented in our sector, including people from minority ethnic backgrounds and people with disabilities. Please let us know if you require any adjustment to make our recruitment process more accessible.
