Kirklees Council are committed to improving and developing its PROW network, which includes maintaining and updating the Definitive Map and Statement of Public Rights of Way in our district. We are now seeking an additional Definitive Map Officer to join our dedicated PROW team.

Alongside other Definitive Map Officers you will be responsible for the protection and assertion of Public Rights of Way, managing and progressing applications for Definitive Map Modifications Orders (DMMOs), along with associated casework including Public Path Orders. As a senior specialist you will investigate claims, making decisions to reject or support modifications of the Definitive Map and Statement and advising on various proposals affecting Public Rights of Way. You will ensure that the Definitive Map, registers and associated records are produced and maintained, and that appropriate consultation takes place.
