The Organisation
We are East Herts Council, covering the District of East Hertfordshire. With a population of approximately 144,000 and around 480 square miles on the eastern side of Hertfordshire, we provide a diverse range of fundamental services to the area and its residents.
We are currently looking for a Community Engagement Officer to join us on a full-time basis for a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2023.

The Role
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will engage the local community in the development of a lottery-funded project to transform two greenspaces into an exciting new venue called Castle Park.
Working in partnership with Bishop’s Stortford Town Council, you will manage our engagement strategy, ensuring our project has a positive and highly visible public profile. You will specifically target those with additional needs, teenagers, families, retired people and schools.
You will promote awareness and understanding of the new park through a detailed events programme, working with stakeholders, existing users, volunteers and local groups to build the future legacy of the park.
