We have a great opportunity for a GIS specialist to join our Recording and Monitoring team at an exciting time in Butterfly Conservation’s development.
A part-time established post, the GIS Officer will play a key role in transforming Butterfly Conservation’s use of its biological data. With the experience and knowledge to work independently, as well as in a small team, you will use your expert GIS skills to support Butterfly Conservation’s work in biodiversity conservation, policy and scientific research, through conducting innovative QGIS analyses, creating novel data products and developing and analysing our database of site advice and management. You will also enhance the GIS capability of the organisation and wider recorder community, by providing QGIS/PostGIS training and support for both staff and volunteers.
