A new and exciting role has opened up for a Dorset Dogs Engagement Warden within the Bird And Recreation Initiative.
Our mission is to raise awareness about the incredible bird species that overwinter within Poole Harbour and promote positive recreation to avoid bird disturbance. We are seeking a passionate and friendly person to deliver engagement, events and activities within the dog community.
You will work closely with other members of the Bird and Recreation team and the Dorset Dogs team. The role is predominantly on site across Poole Harbour engaging with site visitors, local communities, organisations and dog owners, in a varied and flexible way that may require some weekend working.
Poole Harbour is an outstanding natural feature on the south coast of England and the world’s second largest natural harbour. It is designated SSSI, RAMSAR and SPA for its important wildlife and habitats. It also provides a resource for a variety of local businesses and port activities and has a thriving community of recreational users.
This is a part time, fixed term post until 31st March 2022
