Green Volunteering Lead

We have a new role in our team for someone who can lead on developing Green Volunteering opportunities and who feels as passionately as we do about the amazing opportunities to support our community and natural spaces to grow and thrive together.

We already have a cohort of wonderful, dedicated volunteers who support many areas of our work. We would love to grow and diversify this cohort; many of our projects have fantastic opportunites for volunteer development, and our collaboration with other green groups in Lewes means we can work together to create varied, year round ways for people to become more and more involved in the 'green life' of their neighbourhood.

Do you have the skills and experience to nurture this network? Can you help develop volunteer roles and training programmes, and recruit volunteers from all walks of life? Can you support a new volunteer to find their ideal role? Do you also have the sensitivity to work with our most vulnerable people - understanding the barriers to particpation that people can face and working with social prescribers to find opportunities? If so, we would love to hear from you!

You can find a full job description and information on how to apply here

If you would like an informal chat about the role please contact Helen Meade to arrange a mutually convenient time, at helen@railwaylandproject.org

Closing Date: 15/04/2024  Location: Lewes, East Sussex
