Seasonal Bat Surveyor

About the position:

Wild Surveys is an ecological consultancy based in Paisley, providing services and support across the country to a diverse portfolio of clients. Each year we look for new candidates to train up and add to our existing pool of experienced and skilled seasonal bat surveyors.

Wild Surveys are currently welcoming applications from candidates available to undertake bat surveys around dusk and dawn time between May and September on a regular basis, in particular in locations across the west of Scotland. A reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to work outside sociable hours is therefore required.

Full training will be provided, but previous experience and basic knowledge of bat survey methodology will be advantageous. Applications from licensed and/or experienced bat workers are particularly welcome.

Being a confident driver and having use of your vehicle is essential.

We are looking for applicants able to begin working from May 2023, however applicants who wish to start later on in the season are also welcome to apply. Work will be available until the end of August / early September.

Hourly rates start at £15 and will go up from there based on experience. Mileage expenses will also be covered.
