Purpose: Delivering river restoration projects throughout North Norfolk
Reports to: North Norfolk Catchment Team Leader
Location: Office at Bayfield near Holt plus hybrid. Visits across North-Norfolk catchments with mileage expenses £0.45 per mile.
Job term: Full-time 37.5 per week
Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days plus 8 days bank holidays pro rata
Salary details: £25,787 to £29,000 pro rata (9% Employer Pension Contribution)

Norfolk Rivers Trust is looking for a project officer to help deliver a series of ambitious river restoration projects throughout North Norfolk. Working closely with partners, land-owners and contractors, the selected applicant will help deliver a suite of projects on the rivers Stiffkey, Hun, Glaven and the Burn. We are looking for someone with experience of designing and delivering habitat or water-quality improvement projects, who is self-motivated and has a strong interest in ecology. Experience of CDM or ECOW work would be particularly useful.

The successful applicant will help deliver river restoration and wetland creation projects within Norfolk, assisting with the full process from land-owner and partner engagement, to ecological survey and project design, to monitoring. You will also represent Norfolk Rivers Trust at regular partnership meetings and community events. We are looking for someone with a passion for rivers and nature, the ability to work closely with partners or independently, and the drive to help us deliver a series of challenging, exciting restoration projects.
