Salary: £55,000
Location: The Director Scotland will be required to work flexibly across Scotland and the wider UK, in particular time will be spent at BASC’s Scottish Office and the Scottish Parliament.

Role information
We want to recruit a highly motivated individual with significant experience in, and passion for, shooting and conservation, to lead our team and represent BASC in Scotland.
The post-holder will work at both strategic and operational levels, implementing work programmes to deliver the association’s strategic objectives.
Leading and motivating a small team, you will direct the association’s activity in the country to generate the best outcomes for our members. You will be the focal point for Scottish press and media activity and support the association’s political engagement programme within the country.
You will be able to direct and lead while maintaining the ability to work with contemporaries to deliver a co-ordinated approach to member services, projects and campaigns. That includes taking a lead on key issues in your area to develop the association’s technical and operational approach.
You will be solution-oriented with an ability to resolve problems as they arise and a proven record of influencing and negotiating with stakeholder organisations. You should be a confident communicator, able to translate complex technical issues to a range of audiences and through a range of media.
You will be the association’s ambassador in Scotland and will be key in ensuring BASC maintains its status as a trusted and respected organisation.
