About the role
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be at the heart of our nature or wildlife team, working with our rangers, residents and volunteers across East Devon. Working predominantly from our flagship nature reserve at Seaton Wetlands with occasional need to attend our offices in Honiton or Exmouth, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of nature recovery, conservation and marketing projects across the district. You will assist in co-ordinating our engagement programmes and volunteer network and deliver interesting and engaging ways for people to access the countryside both physically, emotionally and intellectually.
About you
First and foremost, you will share our love for the natural world and have a desire to promote it to our residents and visitors. Practical experience in event management, volunteer coordination and marketing is a bonus, but not necessary; a willingness to learn and develop these skills most definitely is! Brimming with fantastic ideas and the energy and ability to turn them into reality, you will have a positive, can-do attitude to inspire others to get outdoors and enjoy the benefits of contact with nature.
You will have excellent ICT and communication skills and ideally a degree in a relevant related subject, you will knock us over with your genuine passion for people and wildlife and have an ability to bring a smile to people’s faces whether assisting with an event, supporting volunteers or working with partners.
The role will include some weekend working during busy periods.
