Carnivore Conservation Officer

We are looking for a new Carnivore Conservation Officer at Vincent Wildlife Trust to support our Carnivore Programme Manager with project development and the testing and reporting on conservation interventions. Our work focuses on smaller carnivores and rare bats in Britain, Ireland and more widely in Europe.

The Conservation Team has a track record of delivering ground-breaking projects such as the translocation and re-establishment of pine marten to mid-Wales, running the first project to build climate change resilience into bat roosts and employing cutting edge social science techniques to develop consensus in potentially divisive carnivore reintroductions.

This role offers an unrivalled opportunity to support delivery of a wide range of on-the-ground mammal conservation projects, work closely with wider partners to promote knowledge exchange, and advocate our approach to mammal conservation more widely with our stakeholders and the public.

You will need to have a combination of practical wildlife conservation experience, including wildlife surveys and monitoring as well as project delivery, administration and communication skills.
