Area Seasonal Warden
The Urban Heaths Partnership is looking to recruit a Seasonal Warden to work as part of the multi-disciplined team delivering heathland mitigation within the Dorset Council area.
The role will involve daily site visits to heathland sites across the Dorset Council area form Purbeck to Verwood, engaging with site visitors encouraging them to respect and protect the heathland habitat. Attending local community events and using social media platforms to promote the messages will also be part of the role.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated with a qualification linked to countryside management and a knowledge of the heathland habitat and species. The successful candidate will be confident in communicating with the public on site and at local community events. There will be a requirement to work alone on site in all weathers as well as part of the team.
Full or part-time applications will be considered. This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.
