We are seeking to fill the following positions:


Management level Consultant with development licencing for bats and newts and good business connections and the ambition to run their own office.  Licences for other species an advantage.  Location: North Yorkshire, Northumberland or Scottish Borders.  Package 40-75k.  

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bat and newt mitigation licences
  • Ability to bring in work to the practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • An appropriate degree qualification (BSc/MSc)
  • Full CIEEM Membership
  • Full clean UK driving licence


Senior Ecologist or Ecologist with ambition for a senior ecologist/management position in North Yorkshire, Northumberland or Scottish Borders in the near future. Must hold bat and newt licences and have strong report writing skills. The ideal candidate will have experience of a wide range of protected species survey, particularly botanical and/or fresh water ecology.  Package 30-40k.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bat (ideally class 2 or above) and newt licences
  • Good botanical skills, at least to phase 1 level
  • Fresh water survey experience (licences a distinct advantage)
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be a strong team player
  • GIS experience
  • Ambition and drive
  • An appropriate degree qualification (BSc/MSc)
  • CIEEM Graduate or Associate Membership.
