We have two exciting opportunities for Conservation Officers within South Scotland - each covering one of RSPB Scotland's operational areas of Central Scotland or Loch Lomond and The Trossachs, Perth and Kinross, Angus and Dundee.

As part of our Area Teams working in these areas, the Conservation Officers will help us deliver a range of work for priority species and habitats. In this varied role you will respond to planning and forestry casework, provide advice directly to land managers, coordinate and undertake surveys, and help deliver conservation projects. We are seeking determined and enthusiastic team players with a passion for nature and a commitment to protect some of Scotlandís most important areas for wildlife. This role will allow you to develop your skills under guidance from colleagues but a background understanding of the Scottish planning system, GIS and nature conservation legislation is desirable, as is a knowledge of birds and other wildlife.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play your part in delivering RSPB's conservation work within areas rich in wildlife and important for people - if this sounds like the job for you, we would love to hear from you.

Closing date: 15 September 2019
Interview date: 26 September 2019, 27 September 2019
