Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) are recruiting for two exciting roles. Working to improve people’s health and well-being through woodland activities and associated projects. 

 

Administrator

Part time role 2-3 days per week 

£17,061-£19,905 (dependent on experience) pro rata - fixed term contract until March 2022, but dependent on match funding each year. 

Based in our Machynlleth office.

 

This role will support the work of Coed Lleol (Small Woods Wales) with a variety of administrative and data entry tasks, at an exciting time as we develop a range of new projects, all contributing to improving people’s health and wellbeing through coordination of woodland activities.     

 

Project Development Officer - Green Health and Access West Wales

Part-time role 3 days (22.5 hours) per week

£22,178 pro rata, Temporary until March 2020

Location flexible (Ceredigion/Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire/Machynlleth - travel across the region & Machynlleth office required).   

 

This role, funded by the Welsh Government ‘Enabling Natural Resources and Wellbeing’ Fund, will develop the partnership project ‘Green Health and Access West Wales’, on behalf of Coed Lleol/Small Woods, the lead partner in the project. 

 

Project objectives are to investigate current greenspace provision for local communities with a focus on all-ability access; to support providers of green health initiatives to promote best practice and work directly with the health sector, to raise the profile of social prescribing to ‘nature-based health care’ and build strong partnerships between the healthcare and environmental sectors. 

 

The role involves travel across the project region to engage and consult with stakeholders, project partners and the public; coordinating meetings of project partners and stakeholders, organising taster outdoor health events; mapping and gathering information on current provision of access to greenspace and current outdoor health initiatives; compiling a project report and contributing to a funding proposal for follow-on activities and future provision of all-ability access.
