Reserves Officer

£21,312 - £23,088 pa

35 hours per week


To organise, lead and supervise practical nature conservation work on the Trustís wonderfully diverse range of nature reserves throughout Leicestershire and Rutland and other sites in conjunction with other Trust staff, volunteers and contractors.  Developing and co-ordinating volunteer involvement and participation on Trust nature reserves will form an important element of the job.


The ideal candidate will have good practical habitat management skills and experience, knowledge of health and safety issues and the ability to recruit and support volunteers.  Driving licence is essential.


The Trust offers excellent working conditions, 25 days holiday per annum pro rota, a contributory pension scheme and a friendly and lively environment in which to work.  Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust is part of the national network of 46 Wildlife Trusts, with over 30 staff it plays a key role in conserving and enhancing the wildlife of Leicestershire and Rutland.
