6 month Fixed Term Contract with potential for extension

Full time (40 hours per week)

£22,000 pro rata


We looking for an individual to continue building on and leading our existing Community Woodland Engagement Program, as well as supporting the delivery of our Urban Woodland Management Plan. As K-Woodlands Community Woodland Engagement Officer (CWEO) you will be the ambassador for the charity, East Kilbride Community Trust. You will quickly submerge yourself in our community’s needs and interests, connecting people with the woodland to improve their health and wellbeing through increasing community engagement within the woodland. You will continue to establish strong, effective relationships with existing and new local community groups, clubs, associations and schools etc. To meet our expectations in this exciting role you will also have good self awareness, be resilient, creative, have good organizational, social media and IT skills. You will also have relevant experience in forestry practice and/ or woodland based activities. With much of your time being spent out in the community or in the woodland you will need to be able to work independently and on your own initiative and have flexibility when it comes to working hours and weekends.
