We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to lead on the development and delivery of an exciting event and community engagement programme to a wide variety of audiences. Work will take place across our three counties, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Northamptonshire on our nature reserves and office locations.


The Wildlife Trust BCN is a leading provider of wildlife and conservation learning opportunities in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire but we want nature to be much more than a day out. Our ethos is for wildlife to be part of peopleís everyday lives and to help people foster this connection to nature though the learning and engagement opportunities we provide. 


This role is central to achieving this with a focus on:

  • Delivering family events across the three counties with a focus in our Living Landscape areas, which support and promote the themes of outdoor learning, wildlife, heritage, conservation action and health and wellbeing. 
  • Promoting community involvement in wildlife conservation though coordination and management of Little Bugs Clubs, Wildlife Watch, Greenwatch and Youth Ranger schemes across the three counties.
  • Working with existing community groups across the three counties to deliver innovative and exciting engagement activities and outreach that meet community need.
  • Supporting the Trustís work to generate income, members and supporters through this work.
