Logo: TCVSenior Project Officer - part time based in Norwich

Salary: 7,800 - 8,600 per annum (19,500 - 21,500 FTE)

This role is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is offered at 14 hours per week, for an initial period of 26 months.


This project will engage volunteers in helping to improve and preserve the natural environment of three County Wildlife Sites in South Norfolk.


The successful candidate will be responsible for organising and delivering high quality, practical environmental conservation projects for volunteers, maintaining partner relationships and safe working practices. You will also be required to recruit, train and manage volunteers and ensure they receive a valuable experience with TCV, whilst developing a core group that will sustain the project in the long term. There will be a budget and resources (e.g. vehicle and tools) to manage and you will need to maintain records of activities and report back to the funder.


You will have experience of engaging communities in volunteering opportunities and developing them into sustainable groups. The successful candidate will have a wide range of practical environmental conservation skills and the personality, aptitude and experience to share them with volunteers of differing abilities. Experience of working with volunteers and organising conservation projects is necessary. IT literacy and basic financial skills are required and a full driving license is essential. Use of your own car would be an advantage.
