Logo: RSPBSchools Outreach Officer

Do you have a passion for connecting children and young people to nature? Could you use your delivery experience to run our schools outreach programme and build a sustainable team of skilled volunteers? If so, you may be the person we are looking for to join our team to help us maximise the potential of our school's outreach project in London.

Schools Outreach Officer
Reference number: A2521019
Location: Flexible working considered but minimum two days working in our London Office required
Salary starting at: 19,602 to 21,236 per annum pro rata
Hours: Part time, 22.5 hours per week
Contract: This role is funded until July 2020 - but with the ambition that it will become part of the core work of the RSPB.

We have developed a successful schools outreach programme connecting children with nature in their school grounds. We are now building on this work by looking to deliver a project to identify a long term and sustainable programme that can be delivered into the future.

You will be a highly motivated, experienced educator and volunteer manager with practical experience of promoting and administering a school's programme. You'll join a dynamic team, working alongside another London Schools Outreach Officer and others to deliver, shape and evaluate the project, test new ways of working and ultimately inspire the next generation to care about the natural world.

This role could be combined with our Youth Partnership Officer for the right candidate.

Closing: 30 October 2019
Interview: 21 November 2019 (combined interviews may be offered if you apply for both roles)
